Review of 2021
Things I learned
1. Don’t get complacent and too comfortable, try something different and improve.
2. When and where to windsurf, kite and wing on local beaches
3. To wingfoil in a straight line. Gybe and tack next which will be tricky

I enjoyed the beaches a lot this year, nicely busy with locals getting into sailing, swimming, kayaks, SUPs and latterly winging, but too many staycationers. Wind sports are always enjoyable, and also enjoyed beautiful morning especially wakeboarding.
After lock downs and a light wind summer pleased to wind/kite/wing 108 days (118 sessions – 58 windsurf, 36 kite, 24 wing). Also wakeboarded 23 sessions and 3 dinghy sailing.
Jan-Apr was only 23 sessions, think we had some lock downs, and some cold weather as recall going p mountains in deep snow and stunning scenery.
July-Sept was also only 23 sessions as light winds, so wakeboarding, SUP and kayak came in on some beautiful days.
Sails used - 3.7m (1), 4.2m (10), 4.7m (21), 5.3m (12). 6m (13), 7.5m (11).
Kites used - 9m (12, equivalent to 4.7m/5,3m Windsurf), 11m (23, equivalent to mostly 6m/7.5m windsurfing with the occasional 5,3m session).
Wing – 5.3m (24)
Correlating kites and wings to windsurf sail sizes 8% of session were <=4.2m, 29% <=4.7m, 45% <=5.3m and 77% <=6m. Lighter wind year, for example <= 4.7m was 39% last year.
